11 Great Essential Oil Recipes For Summer!

Sunburns, blisters, sore muscles and bug bites are common during camping/hiking/outdoor adventures! All worth it to get back to nature. I often get emails asking for suggestions for Essential Oil Recipes. I have collected a few to share with you that are great for the summer. With just a few ingredients you can make these essential oil recipes and put them to use on your next adventure………..(relaxing on the porch swing or hiking down a canyon). For all the essential oil recipes listed that are applied to the skin I recommend a carrier oil so that the oils will be easier to apply and more comfortable to the skin. Carrier oils include:
■ Coconut Oil
■ Jojoba Oil
■ Sweet Almond Oil
■ Goats Milk Lotion

Bug repellent for Diffuser Necklace

2-3 Drops Lemongrass Essential Oil
2-3 Drops Eucalyptus Essential Oil
2-3 Drops Citronella Essential Oil

Add the oils to the Diffuser Pad/or Leather bracelet and have the added comfort of knowing that you have a natural alternative to bugs.

Bug Spray 

2 oz Witch Hazel
2 oz Distilled Water
12 Drops Lemongrass Essential Oil
12 Drops Eucalyptus Essential Oil
15 Drop Citronella Essential Oil

Add to spray bottle and shake to mix before every use. Spray onto clothes and skin as needed. Avoid spraying face. Avoid touching eyes and mouth. For children under 2 years old spray onto clothing and not their skin.
